EDE Asset Management Inc. is currently offering Junior Equity Analyst Associate (internship) position in the financial industry. This is a unique opportunity to accelerate your career in the Canadian resources sector and build on your personal growth.
Research Associates work closely with the team on a daily basis conducting macroeconomic analyses, performing research on companies in the resources sector, and making stock recommendations backed by reliable research to the portfolio manager.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct macroeconomic analyses and commodity research
- Build and update detailed financial models
- Perform due diligence on sector stocks and present investment recommendations to portfolio manager
- Ensure the quality of your investment recommendations
- Build relationships with company management and primary industry contacts
- Attend conferences and industry events
- Identify material news and recommend trading targets
- Assist in other ad hoc tasks as required
Qualifications/Skills/
- Bilingual (English/Mandarin)
- Self-motivated individual with a strong work ethic
- Solid foundation in financial concepts and valuation techniques
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with executives, managers, and clients
- Strong passion in financial services
- Great analytical / quantitative skills
- Superior attention to detail and proven ability to meet deadlines
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel (financial modeling) and Microsoft PowerPoint
Required education:
- Undergraduate degree
- CSC, CFA an asset
