Eric Yan

Eric Yan co-founded EDE Asset Management Inc (EDE Asset) in 2016 and serves as the chief investment officer and chief compliance officer overseeing investment and compliance side of the business. Eric is an investment veteran with over twenty years of experience in commodities and emerging market investment.
Prior to creating EDE Asset, Eric spent four years holding senior portfolio management roles covering mainland China A share mandates, including Head of QFII in China Investment Fund Management overseeing foreign institutional investment advisory business.
Eric was the lead manager of Matrix Asia Pacific Fund and investment analyst of Seamark international team between 2007 and 2012. The Matrix Asia Pacific fund was ranked 2nd among MSCI AC category in Canada. Prior to joining Matrrix, Eric covered China strategy and commodities research in Scotia Capital for four years after spending eight years with China Minmetals Group as senior commodity trader.
Eric obtained MBA degree from University of Toronto in 2003 and holds CFA charter since 2006.
